Europe - Amsterdam. Danh Vo at Stedelijk Museum. Acclaimed for his choreography of space, he brings together his own work, collected objects, and pieces by other artists. On view through Aug 02.
South America - Buenos Aires. Pagliacci / Cavalleria rusticana at Teatro Colón, April 14-24. Opera’s most famous double bill, uniting two intense, one-act verismo (realism) tragedies.
Africa - Nairobi. Afro Topia Music Festival. April 24 · Kasarani Aquatic Stadium – a showcase of Afrobeats, Amapiano, and global urban sounds converging in East Africa’s most dynamic city.
Asia - Seoul. Visit a centuries old Kisoondo farm. Kisoondo is a Korean food heritage brand preserving a 370-year family legacy of handcrafted fermented pastes and sauces - soy sauce, doenjang, gochujang, bamboo salt, and more - made using traditional slow-fermentation methods in ceramic pots.
Australia – Alice Springs. Parrtjima, A Festival in Light, through April 19. The only Aboriginal festival of its kind celebrating the arrival of autumn in Arrente Country with nightly projections against the MacDonnell Ranges.
03 — Who’s in the Room. Edgar Calel - Calel is a Maya-Kaqchikel visual artist and poet from Chi Xot, San Juan Comalapa, Guatemala. Calel is known for multimedia contemporary art that explores the complexities of indigenous experiences and engages with the Maya-Kaqchikel cosmic worldview, traditions, and rituals to new audiences internationally.
